Absolutley rapt!

I got my first order from someone I don't know today. She even offered to be an agent for my products up north somewhere! I am still a little shocked that my handmade products have taken off, this just doesn't happen to me.

I've spent this afternoon making Korker Bows. I'm really happy with the result and I'm totally in love with the pale pink/black one.

I've also made a red one for a friend's DD's dance class, a navy, jade and white one to go with a school uniform and a couple of mini ones that I've made into clips. Just one to go, a pink and mauve one, then off to start my next order.

I got all my clip orders completed last night and almost have them ready to post, I just want to photograph them before I send them. The ones I've posted already have had fantastic feedback.

Here are the ones I posted yesterday
(pics to come of last nights creations).

Aubrey wore my first Korker yesterday and got lots of positive feedback. Today I'm filling orders for them. There's red and white, black and hot pink, black and pale pink and a special school uniform order of navy, jade and white.

Here it is, my first Korker. I'm pretty happy with it and it did look very cute in Aubrey's hair this afternoon.

Korker Bows

Ok, I've sanded some of the dowel and I'm about to put the first batch (haha sounds like cookies) in the oven. Fingers crossed this works.
I have had 29 orders for bows in my first two days...that's 58 bows!!! I've posted two orders and part of a third.

I had a go at a double bow yesterday and think it looks sweet.

I also finally got DH to cut the dowel last night so I'll need to spend some time sanding those so I can start on some korkers.

Off for a walk with a friend this morning then home to tend to my poor house, it has been neglected the past couple of days.

Here is my new logo:

and here is the link to my Facebook group.
I have had another two orders tonight, one for four sets and another for nine sets! How awesome is that!!

Totally blown away!

I've had another order for six bows! This is without even telling anyone they are for sale. I'm fully enjoying making pretty things and even better if I can sell them!
I've just been to Bunnings and bought dowel to try making Korker Bows. I'll hopefully get DH to chop them tonight so I can spend some time tomorrow sanding them and maybe even try making some in the next day or so. I also bought some more ribbons while I was out.

I'm thinking of starting a Facbook page for my bows. I'll wait till I have a few more styles to take photos of. I spent a lot of last night drawing up a logo in Illustrator which I think is very cute but I'll keep it under wraps for now and I think I have a name.

Wow! I just sold my first six bows! Bloody awesome!!

Bows! Bows! Bows!

The three big bows at the bottom are made by Mamaduke, the pink, circle ones are made by Katherine at Kat Kreations and the rest are made by me (there are more but Aubrey is wearing them). I also made the board quickly this afternoon as I'm running out of places to store them.

I'm totally in love with my glue gun and desperatley need to find some new projects.

My first bows

Here is my first attempt at bow making. These are 9mm grosgrain ribbon with the alligator clips from ebay, attached by my trusty glue gun. They don't look it but they're all the same size.

Here are the pale pink bows being modelled by Aubrey this morning at my sister's birthday brekky.

Some cards I've made in the past...

This one I made for my Hawthorn-mad nephew.

Here are the cards I made today. The first is for my sister's birthday and the second is for a kitchen tea. The colours are a bit wishy washy in these pics but they are actually quite nice.

YAY! My clips and ribbons arrived today! The ribbon colours are so pretty, I can't wait to try it all out. My favourite combinations are the pink and green, pale pink and black and black and white. Now all I have to do is get some dowel, chop it up and sand it and I'll be on my way.

Today's mission is to make a card for a Kitchen Tea on Saturday. I went to two shops this morning and couldn't find one. I love my Cricut for this kind of thing. I'll post a pic when I've finished.

Ebay

I've just bought a whole heap of grosgrain ribbon and alligator clips on Ebay, just need to get some dowel (will give DH that job on the weekend) and I'm going to give some korker bows a go. I'm a litte suss about cooking ribbon in the oven but I've looked at a lot of tuts and they all have the same instructions so I guess I'll give it a go...

I bought a hot glue gun today!

As the title says, I bought a hot glue gun today!

My middle child has started school this year so I have a bit of spare time in the afternoons up my sleeve, when my little one sleeps. I have been inspired by a forum friend at Kat Kreations who made some gorgeous bows for my 2 year old and want to learn how to do this stuff for myself.

My skills so far:
I can use a sewing machine but I've never fitted a zip and may be a bit rusty.
I scrapbook
I love taking photos and I'm fully trained in Photoshop.

I just want to make stuff!
